FitKcal: Calorie Calculator Privacy Policy

Effective date: 16 July 2026

FitKcal keeps profile, weight, meal, hydration and progress records locally on the user's device. HBSS does not operate an account or health-data server for FitKcal. The application uses Google AdMob for advertisements.

Information stored locally

FitKcal allows users to enter profile details, age, height, weight, weight goal, activity level, food diary entries, custom foods, water records, weight history, meal plans, shopping checklist items, recipe favourites and reminder preferences. This information is stored locally in the app's private storage on the user's Android device.

Health information is not uploaded to HBSS

FitKcal does not send the locally stored profile, weight, calorie target, meal diary, hydration history or meal-plan information to HBSS or to an HBSS application server.

Advertising and consent services

FitKcal uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner advertisements and optional user-initiated rewarded advertisements, and Google User Messaging Platform to request or manage advertising consent where required. A user who completes an optional rewarded ad may receive a temporary banner-free period inside FitKcal. These services require an internet connection. Core calculator, diary, planner, recipe, hydration and progress functions continue to use local data.

Advertising-related data

According to Google's Mobile Ads SDK disclosure, the SDK may automatically collect and share IP address information, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or advertising identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud-prevention purposes. IP address information may be used to estimate general location. This data is handled under Google's terms and privacy practices.

Advertising privacy choices

Where available, users can review advertising consent choices from Settings > Ad privacy choices. Android and Google account settings may also provide controls for resetting or deleting the advertising ID and managing ad personalization.

Permissions

Internet and network-state permissions are used to request advertisements and consent messages. FitKcal may request notification permission when the user enables optional meal, hydration or weigh-in reminders. FitKcal does not request contacts, precise location, microphone, camera, storage or Health Connect access.

Data retention and deletion

Local information remains on the device until the user deletes individual records, chooses the in-app reset option, clears app storage or uninstalls the app. Android backup is disabled in the application configuration.

External links

The About screen may open the HBSS website or the user's email application after the user taps a link. Those external services have their own privacy practices. FitKcal does not attach local health or diary records to those links.

Children

FitKcal is intended for adults and is not designed to provide unsupervised calorie targets to children or adolescents.

Health disclaimer

FitKcal provides general wellness estimates and planning tools. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition. Users should consult a qualified healthcare professional for personal medical or dietary advice.

Changes to this policy

If FitKcal's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the related app version is released.
